Talk: A Real Regency Christmas
A Real Regency Christmas
Did a Regency Christmas include presents, greetings cards and kisses
under the mistletoe? What about Yule logs, mince pies and decorated
trees? And was Santa a thing?
When Andrew and Rachel Knowles wanted to know what a real Regency
Christmas looked like, they spent hours researching old books, letters and journals. In this talk they share what they discovered about how Regency families celebrated the festive season.
